We have found that teeth whitening using custom molded plastic trays is the most effective method for obtaining optimal and longer lasting results. These trays are made from impressions taken of your teeth during a dental visit. You will be given a kit containing whitening gel which is applied to the inside of the tray, one drop per tooth. The trays are worn at home for 30 minutes per session when it is convenient for you. In the future, if you feel the need to brighten your smile again, the whitening trays may be used for touch ups or another session of whitening. A fresh kit of whitening gel maybe purchased from us. Please be advised that the whitening gel is only effective on natural tooth structure. It will not whiten porcelain or tooth colored fillings. If you have teeth that are sensitive to cold, you may experience a temporary increase in cold sensitivity. The whitening gel that we use does contain an ingredient that minimizes tooth sensitivity. We also recommend brushing with a desensitizing toothpaste during the period you are whitening your teeth.
